How to make a Hyper Techno Kick in Serum?
Here is our step by step instruction:
STEP #1:
- Select Analog_BD_Sin waveform for OSC A and put it 2 octaves lower
- Activate OSC B, select Dist Fwapper SQ waveform, put it 2 octaves lower and set the level to zero
- Set LFO 1 to ENV and draw a curve with a short attack time and a steeply sloping curve to the center of the grid
- Connect LFO 1 with level of OSC A and set a maximum range
STEP #2:
- Go to LFO 2 and set to ENV. Draw a curve with the starting point just below the last upper line of the grid and the end point at the bottom center of the grid.
- Draw the curve handle centered between the start and end points and on the last bottom line.
- Connect LFO 2 to the pitch of OSC A and set to around 36.
STEP #3:
- Go to LFO 3 and set to ENV. Draw a curve from top left to bottom right.
- Pull the curve handle centered between the start and end points and almost to the bottom.
- Connect LFO 3 to the level of OSC B and set the range from 60 to 0.
- Connect LFO 3 to the WT Pos of both OSCs and set the range from 50 to 0.
- Activate noise, choose an individual kick attack sample, enable one shot.
- Connect LFO 3 to the noise level with a 100% range.
STEP #4:
- Switch to FX and add distortion.
- Enable Pre mode, move the slider to H and set F to 82 and Q to 1.4.
- Set Drive to about 65.
- Add an EQ, set Low Freq to 90Hz, Low Q to 0 and Low Gain to 8.5.
- Also add some subtle highs.
- Go to LFO 4, enable Env and draw the same curve like LFO 3. Only the curve handle should be 2 lines higher.
- Connect LFO 4 to distortion drive with a range from 100% to 65%.
THAT'S IT!
