How to make a Slap House Bass like VIZE in Serum?
Here is our step by step instruction:
STEP #1
- - Extend the release time of ENV 1 a little
- - Use the default waveform for OSC A
- - Add some voices for this OSC
- - Put the OSC two octaves lower
- - Set detune and random phase of OSC A to zero
STEP #2
- - Activate filter MG Low 24 for OSC A and set the cutoff to zero
- - Go to ENV 2, shorten the decay a bit, set the sustain to about 2% and slightly extend the release time
- - Connect ENV 2 with the cutoff filter (drag)
- - Reduce the cutoff range to 75%
STEP #3
- - Add the SUB OSC with a sine wave
- - Activate 'Direct out'
- - Put the SUB two octaves down
- - Set level to zero and connect it with ENV 2
- - Reduce the level range to 75%
STEP #4
- - Activate hyper / dimension in the FX TAB and mix it very slightly (4%)
- - Add a compressor, activate multi band mode, increase the gain
- - Set the mix level to zero and connect it to ENV 2 (range also about 75%)
- - Add an EQ, set the low EQ type to LPF and decrease the Q a bit
STEP #5
- - Go to ENV 3, shorten the decay to about 40ms and set sustain to zero
- - Connect it to the coarse pitch of OSC A and set it to about 24 (SHIFT+ALT+CLICK on pitch for one direction)
- - Activate NOISE OSC and select a kicking noise for even more attack
- - Enable on shot mode of the NOISE OSC and increase the level
STEP #6
- - Make some fine adjustments to achieve your preferred sound
THAT'S IT!
